Frequently Asked Questions

What sensors are supported?
Aegis supports the Sensirion SPS30 (PM1, PM2.5, PM10) via ESP32, along with BME280 (temperature, humidity, pressure) and MQ-7 (CO). Most standard off-the-shelf air quality sensors are supported via our universal ingestion API.
Do we need a subscription per station or per department?
Station tier is per station. Department tier covers your entire department — all stations, all apparatus bays, under one dashboard. The Department plan is the most cost-effective for departments with 3+ stations.
How does the free trial work?
14-day free trial on any tier, no credit card required. Your sensor data and alert history are preserved — nothing is lost. Trial includes full feature access including compliance exports.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
You retain access to all your data and can export everything as CSV or PDF before cancellation. After cancellation, data is retained for 90 days then purged per our data retention policy.
Does the NFPA 1500 export meet grant requirements?
Yes. The Department tier exports include timestamped exceedance logs, zone-level threshold settings, peak/mean readings, and a compliance summary — formatted to meet FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant documentation requirements.
Can we add sensors later?
Yes. You can add sensors at any time. Each sensor gets its own API key for secure, authenticated data ingestion. Zone management is available on all tiers.
